A big thank you for putting my mind to rest-my dentist worked hard on the tooth for me and only now, today, has the pain subsided. I had prepared myself for this pain and am glad it's over. He also told me to give it a month to settle down. and that hopefully it would be OK. So I shall continue to keep my fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong.

Recently I wrote to you requesting help about a nasty abscess under a tooth, which my dentist wanted to extract. Thanks to your most helpful advice regarding root canal treatment, I was referred to a specialist, who has managed to save the tooth. I really am very grateful, since at my age I am extremely reluctant to let my teeth go without a fight!
